Research Assistant (m/f/d)

The Institute of Mathematics belonging to the Departement of Mathematics/Computer Science /Physics invites applications for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) (salary level E 13 TV-L, 75%)

The contract is given for 3 years, starting October 2026.
Your Duties:

• Conduct research and publications on random graphs asymptotics and Stein’s method
• Teaching (3 hours per week per semester, in German by the third year at the latest)
• The position allows for further scientific qualification (Ph.D.)

Requirements

• Candidates are required to hold an excellent academic degree in Mathematics

The research interests of the research group Probability focus on asymptotics of random graphs as well as central limit theoerems with rate of convergence and large deviations.
